As the title imples, Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, will indeed be the last game in the Dead or Alive 5 series. The game will bring back some old features along with some new ones as well. This week’s issue of Famitsu magazine provides more details. [Thanks, Game Jouhou.]

According to the report, Dead or Alive 5: Last Round will have an “Ultimate version” package on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, costing 26,784 yen and 27,864, respectively. While details on the special version’s contents are unavailable for now, with that price, it should be fairly beefy.

As previously reported, Dead or Alive 5: Last Round will bring back the Danger Zone stage from the first two Dead or Alive games. Additionally, it’ll also bring back the “Crimson” stage from Dead or Alive 2. It sounds like Koei Tecmo are also putting some effort into making the characters look more human with the new “Soft Engine,” which is made to better depict the “softness” and “warmth” of the characters.

The engine also focuses on shading, especially in areas around the chest, to better depict its form and shape.

While on the subject of chests, Koei Tecmo also provided some teasers for the new female character, saying she’ll be the “biggest” of all the characters thus far. We’re not entirely sure what they mean by that, but we’ll leave that to your imagination, for now.

They also added that the other new character will meet fan expectations, and that he or she will have a similar role to Nyotengu.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round will release in Japan on February 19, 2015 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. A free-to-play version will also be available on PS4 and Xbox One.
