Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Gets New Screenshots And An Upgrade to Its Soft Engine

Koei Tecmo just revealed a first look at some gameplay footage for Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, and Famitsu has followed up with a few more details and a look at some new screenshots.

The game takes place on Zack Island, where the heroines will enjoy all kinds of different activities such as “Water Tug of War,” “Beach Flags,” “Hopping Game” and more. The girls will have all kinds of different bathing suits, which are said to “bring a fresh new feeling” to these activities.

Team Ninja introduced the “Soft Engine” for Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, which was made for visual enhancements to make skin look softer and more realistic. With Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune for PS4, the engine is getting a 2.0 update, and they say that it’ll look even more realistic than ever.

 

As for the PlayStation Vita version, Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Venus, it’ll use a customized “Soft Engine Lite,” which will feature uses of the touch panel and gyro sensor.

 

Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 will release in Japan on February 25, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. You can check out our previous report for details on the collector’s editions of both versions of the game.
