Dead Rising becomes a mega hit

Capcom announced that they have sold over one million copies of Dead Rising world wide since the game’s initial release on August 8, 2006 in North America. The zombie hunting game reached three regions and Japan was the last one to receive it on September 28, 2006. In some ways Dead Rising was a surprise hit. Dead Rising outsold Okami with its simple concept of running around a mall killing zombies with whatever is in sight. Since the series already has a million copies sold you can bet Capcom is working on a sequel to Dead Rising.
