Rainy Woods has a third name. In Japan, Deadly Premonition is known as Red Seeds Profile and it’s a multiplatform title.
Marvelous will publish the game on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Ignition, the publisher of Deadly Premonition in North America, only announced an Xbox 360 version. Although, the ESRB leaked a possible PlayStation 3 port.
Red Seeds Profile tells the story of a FBI profiler investigating a bizarre case in a rural town. Mega online retailer Raukten spilled extra details like people vanishing at midnight and fights with shadows. David Young, the protagonist, will be able to use knives, iron pipes and chainsaws as weapons to defend himself. Marvelous and Access Games created a 8km filed with real-time weather changes to explore. According to the description, Young at some point gets a car to use too and he can interact with over 150 people.
Red Seeds Profile is slated for March 11, 2010 in Japan. We actually get it first since Ignition plans to publish Deadly Premonition here around February 2010 and sell it for $20.
