Daganronpa creator Kazutaka Kodaka is working on something different this time around with Death Come True. It is described as Japan’s first “interactive content,” a fusion of film and games. Basically, the story develops based on the player’s choices. Furthermore, it comes with multiple endings.
The game is set in a certain hotel. The protagonist, Makoto Karaki (portrayed by Kanata Hongo) is wanted for a series of murders. However, he has no memories at all. In such a situation, Makoto has a mysterious “Time Leap” ability that allows him to return to the past when he dies. As a criminal on the run, who can he trust and who does he doubt? And what exactly is his true identity? Makoto must discover the truth by repeating through death and selections.

When Makoto woke up at the hotel, he had lost his memories. He doesn’t remember who he is, and can’t remember why he’s in a hotel. However, he learns from the news on TV that he’s wanted for a series of murders.
Death Come True releases in Japan in 2020 but no further details on platforms.
