At Anime Expo 2018, Idea Factory International revealed it will be releasing Death end re;Quest outside of Japan in early 2019. Digital and physical copies will be available for the PlayStation 4. In addition, an official website is open.

Death end re;Quest follows Shina Ninomiya and Arata Mizunashi. The two were working on World’s Odyssey (W.O.D.) when Shina disappeared. About a year later, she emails him and he realizes she is trapped inside the virtual world of W.O.D., and she can only return to the real world if she gets a perfect ending there. Players control both Arata in the real world and Shina in W.O.D., with multiple endings available. In addition, due to the nature of W.O.D. and its bugs, it can go from a turn-based RPG to a fighting game or shoot’em up.

The first English trailer for Death end re;Quest has been released.
