The European box art for the Death Stranding PlayStation 4 Pro bundle has offered some insight into the game. In the past, when talking about possible interactions with other players, Hideo Kojima has noted that it will be asynchronous. Now, the European box art shown on the GAME website notes that a PlayStation Plus subscription won’t be required at all to play. (Thanks, MP1st!)

During events, hints about Death Stranding’s social interactions were dropped. For example, at TGS 2019, Kojima showed how you can leave tools in the area for other players to use, leave items for others in postboxes, see where people had been, and “like” things they had done. The box confirms that everyone will be able to enjoy the asynchronous actions of everyone and share with others online, whether or not they subscribe to PlayStation Plus.

Death Stranding will come to the PlayStation 4 on November 8, 2019.
