Deemo the Movie Is Now Accepting Auditions For The Theme Song

Earlier this week, Rayark began accepting auditions for Deemo the Movie‘s theme song, “inside a dream”. The movie adaptation was announced last month ahead of RayarkCon, and is being animated by Production I.G.

The theme song for the movie was composed and written by Yuki Kajiura, whom has scored many famous anime soundtracks, as well as the entirety of Xenosaga III‘s soundtrack. Audition applicants are required to sing the theme song, and are allowed to make humming versions or slightly change the lyrics.

According to Rayark, the requirements to enter are:

  • Must be female aged 13 or older.
  • Must not be signed with and/or represented by any record label, management or agency/agent.
  • Applicants under the age of 20 must be authorized by their parent/guardian before applying.
  • Must be able to participate in screenings beyond the second round that will be held in Japan.
  • Must understand and approve that photographs/videos will be taken beyond the 2nd round of auditions.
  • The winner of the audition must base her activities in Japan and participate in the domestic entertainment industry.

The main application period will last from January 1 to February 29, 2020. Applications are being accepted via Karasta, Youtube, and Bilibili. More details can be found on the movie’s website, and a sample video was also provided, which you can watch above.

Deemo the Movie will release in 2020.
