Demonschool, a strategy RPG inspired in part by games like Persona, ended up delayed again. This time, Necrosoft Games and Ysbryd Games cited Hollow Knight: Silksong as a reason for it being pushed back. The original release date would have been September 3, 2025, one day ahead of the Team Cherry Metroidvania’s September 4, 2025 debut. It will now appear on November 19, 2025.
This is one of many Demonschool delays, though previous ones focused solely on ensuring the quality of the title. As a result of the game being pushed back, Necrosoft announced two types of additions. One is that it will ensure the game is in better shape for launch. The other is that post-launch updates will be included in the launch build. Among that extra content will be more endings we can unlock.
As part of the statement from Ysbryd Founder Brian Kwek, he noted, “Thus, the Ysbryd team strongly believes we would not be doing our game any favors by wading into waters we can clearly see are blood red. If the September period is going to be Silksong’s moment, then we need to be elsewhere on the calendar to give Demonschool its own moment to be seen and talked about meaningfully.” He also asserted that this was a last minute decision and confirmed the company “already distributed Steam keys to press as part of a healthy review program.”
Demonschool will come to the PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox Series X, and PC on November 19, 2025.
