In the first quarter of 2007 we are going to see two new handheld games based in the Dragon Ball Z universe. Coming out for the PSP is Dragon Ball Z Shin Budokai: Another Road. This is a sequel to the PSP fighting game that was released lat year. The PSP game has the usual updates, new characters and new attacks. What’s really going to get fans of the series is that it DBZ Shin Budokai: Another Road has a brand new story arc where you play as Trunks against Majin Buu in the future. Dragon Ball Z Shin Budokai: Another Road is scheduled to come out in March.

Coming out for the DS is Dragon Ball Z: Harukanaru Densetsu, which is the card battling game we’ve been talking about. It’s a card RPG where you can chain cards together to create new attacks. Previously this game was known as “Shin Budokai 2” in some databases, but Atari has corrected everyone with the new name. Also as a first Atari kept the Japanese name for the title instead of renaming it. I imagine headaches for the employees at game stores come Spring 2007 when people try to pronounce the name of the game. See more screenshots of the two new titles past the break.
