Unchained Blades and Exstetra makers, FuRyu, recently picked up the license for Hamatora: Look at Smoking World, an upcoming RPG that Tokyo Majin Gakuen series director Shuuhou Imai is working on for Nintendo 3DS. Here’s a closer look at the game.

Hamatora features a group of characters called Minimum Holders, who have special powers they’ll be putting to use in combat. The above images gives us a look at Nice and Yuika, two key characters in the game.

As previously mentioned, while the game takes place in the same world as the anime and manga series, it is its own story and you won’t need to be familiar with the anime to enjoy the story. There’s even a possibility one will see characters from the Tokyo Majin Gakuen series appear in the game.

The battle system will be turn-based, where the characters will be using their special “Minimum” skills. You’ll be pressing different input commands to pull off the attacks.

Hamatora takes place in a port town of Kobe, Japan, where you’ll be seeing certain shopping districts and more, modeled after real-life places in the area. There will also be places such as Chinatown-like areas, where you’ll be running around to solve various cases.

Those who preorder the game will get the Honey IC Sticker Card, that was designed using Honey’s tablet from the anime as a motif.

Hamatora: Look at Smoking World will be released on July 17, 2014 for Nintendo 3DS.
