In Japan, there’s an adventure game subgenre where you gather items and solve puzzles to escape out of a room. We’ve seen wacky versions of this concept like escaping from a restaurant. Detective Conan X Escape Game Cubic Room is a take on the genre with the popular anime character made by Cubic Room.

Conan is hired by Yuki Aoyama to search for an item hidden in her departed grandfather’s house, which is far in the mountains. Ran and Kogoro join Conan to solve the mystery. Yuki didn’t mention that her grandfather was a mystery writer and now all of them are trapped in the mansion.
Detective Conan X Escape Game Cubic Room is out now for iOS devices. The first stage is free to play while stages two through four cost 300 yen.
