soulhackersAtlus is developing a Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers remake for Nintendo 3DS, Famitsu magazine reports. Originally released for Sega Saturn and PsOne, Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers takes place in a virtual world called Paradigm X. As a member of the Spookies hacking group, you hack into this world using a GUMP (that’s a gun computer).

Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers will have improved loading times and additional battle animations for 3DS. Atlus also says the game will have full voice acting. Minako Kotobuki (Serah in Final Fantasy XIII-2), Kazuya Nakai (Shinjiro in Persona 3), Daisuke Ono (Snow in Final Fantasy XIII), Yuki Kaji (Hope in Final Fantasy XIII), and Chiwa Saito (Raspberyl in Disgaea 3) are confirmed for the game.

Satelight, the company that made the Persona 2: Innocent Sin anime, is producing a new animated video for Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers. Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers is slated for release on August 30.
