Devil Survivor 2 Dated For Japan

Nothing says summer break like a demon invasion? Atlus set July 28 as the release date for Devil Survivor 2 in Japan.

This game features an all new cast of characters who battle the mysterious Septentrion, invaders that show up in Japan once a day. The protagonist in Devil Survivor 2 gets caught into being a devil messenger while coming home from an exam cram session. His childhood friend Daichi and Io who is said to be a dream girlfriend join him. You can read more about the game’s story here.

While the 3DS may be the talk of the handheld town, Devil Survivor 2 is actually a Nintendo DS game. Atlus is making Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, an expanded version of the DS game with voice acting, for Nintendo’s newest handheld. That game does not have a specific release date in Japan, but is scheduled to come out this year. Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked is slated for a summer release in North America.
