The description for Dietrich says that he is a beautiful swordsman who seeks to fight powerful foes to quench his thirst. He is a foreigner from Fódlan, which is beyond the sea. He likes things he finds “beautiful,” sweets, and his younger sister. In battle, Dietrich uses a sword-shaped Heroes’ Relic called Answerer. He is able to use the Combat Art, Bloody Flash, which has a higher chance of dealing a Critical Hit. You can view the animation for it here:

As a reminder, the above are unofficial translations. The official Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave localization may use different names.

Satoshi Hino will voice Dietrich in the Japanese version of Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave. Hino has been voice-acting since 2000, and he has had many prominent roles over the years. A small sample of his previous roles include Phainon from Honkai: Star Rail, Yuji from Shakugan no Shana, Kamui from Gintama, and Kyojuro from Demon Slayer. There is currently no information on his English voice actor.

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave will come out on the Nintendo Switch 2 in 2027. Previously, Intelligent Systems shared some details about Cai, who will also be a playable protagonist.
