Bandai Namco announced on social media that it will host a new pop up shop in the Chicago area, and this time it will be a Digimon store at the Mitsuwa Marketplace in Arlington Heights, Illinois. It will open on December 19, 2025, and people can find it in the back of the store next to the One Piece Card Game storefront and Pastry House Hippo bakery.

The initial teaser on Instagram didn’t bring up exactly what types of items we’ll find at the Mitsuwa Digimon Pop Up Shop. It only referenced the trading card game, standard games, figures, and toys. No preliminary photo appeared to show possible products on shelves. However, when these have come up in the past, they consisted of some gashapon machines and a mix of actual devices, merchandise like plush and model kits, and other items that might be imported from Japan. This happened when the Tamagotchi pop up appeared in the spot earlier in 2025, as both the virtual pet devices and toys appeared.

This comes after a more general Bandai Namco pop up store showed in that space in Mitsuwa. The last one was a Banpresto, Nuicolle, and Ichibansho Figure temporary storefront. That included a number of figures and plush based on characters from series like Chainsaw Man, Dan da Dan, Demon Slayer, Hazbin Hotel, Jujutsu Kaisen, and One Piece. That ended its run on December 7, 2025.

The Digimon Pop Up Shop will be at the Mitsuwa Marketplace at 100 E Algonquin Rd in Arlington Heights, Illinois between December 19, 2025 and February 22, 2026. The most recent game is Digimon Story: Time Stranger for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
