Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode Has A New Character, Slated For June

Recommended Videos

As previously reported, there are two new story arcs in Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode. The first is “Lament of the X-Antibody,” which we detailed last week. More information on the second, “Scheme of the Demon Lords,” has been outlined in the latest issue of V Jump magazine.

The Demon Lord of Greed, Barbamon, has plans to rule the Digital World (Really, who hasn’t…?). What separates him from the rest is that he has the other six Demon Lords behind him—Demon, the Demon Lord of Wrath; Lilithmon, the Demon Lord of Lust; Belphemon, the Demon Lord of Sloth, Beelzebumon, the Demon Lord of Gluttony; Lucemon FD, the Demon Lord of Pride; and Leviamon, the Demon Lord of Envy.

Barbamon has been waiting for the decimation of the Vitium to set his plans into action. Opposing him along with the main characters is a new character, Rina Shinomiya, a usually calm girl who has a strong sense of will. She’s dragged into the Digital World through a portal and meets her partner V-mon—a mischievous childlike Digimon with a strong sense of justice—after all the events of the main game have taken place.

Namco Bandai will release Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode on June 27th for the Nintendo 3DS. The manga adaptation of the original game, Digimon World Re:Digitize Encode, will begin serializing in the June issue of V Jump. It appears Rina will be appearing there as well.
