Dinosaur Hunting: The lost Xbox game?

This article is over 17 years old and may contain outdated information

A game where you run around an island shooting dinosaurs with tranquilizers seems like a game that would sell in North America, but Dinosaur Hunting was actually one of the few games developed for Japan. It was made by Scarab who vanished after finishing their work on the project. In 2003 Dinosaur Hunting came out in Japan and shortly after Metro 3D, who publishes budget games like the blatant Harry Potter knock off Billy the Wizard: Rocket Broomstick Racing, announced that they were picking up the game for distribution outside of Japan. However, the product never made it to store shelves. Dinosaur Hunting looks like it could have been a fun game to play, like a playable version of Jurassic Park, except it’s in 3D and you’re not a raptor. Either way it is light years better than Dino Crisis 3, ugh mutated dinosaurs in space. See the Dinosaur Hunting trailer and judge for yourself.
