Bandai Namco will add DIO (Greatest High Version) into the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Last Survivor on March 17, 2021. This DIO is the version seen at the end of Stardust Crusaders after a rather notable event. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
DIO will specialize in aggressive, close-range combat. He can use “WRYYY Rush,” where he punches the enemy multiple times in quick succession. He can also use “Cruel Drain” to consume blood from a fallen enemy to recover and buff himself. For players who have difficulty getting close, “A Hint of Power” will allow DIO to teleport himself within a limited range.
His ultimate skill is, of course, his classic “Road Roller” technique. When activated, DIO will stop time and toss down a steamroller for massive damage. This has been one of DIO’s signature super moves not only in the original manga and anime, but also in fighting games such as MUGEN and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle.
You can view the PV for DIO here:
In fighting games for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, DIO is usually divided up into two characters: Dio from Part 1 and DIO from Part 3. However, there are many playable variations of DIO in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Shooters, including Young Dio and Shadow DIO. Players interested in using this version will have to act fast. Stardust Shooters will shut down on April 13, 2021.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Last Survivor is immediately available in arcades in Japan, and DIO will appear from March 17, 2021.
