Interested players must fill out the form here to apply, and you’ll need to enter your email, Steam username, Discord ID (if you have one), your computer specs, and why you want to participate in the beta.

This game’s PC release marks the first time the Disaster Report series has ever been available on the platform. The series started out on PlayStation 2 and then moved to the PSP, before the announcement of the ill-fated PlayStation 3 version of Disaster Report 4. In Japan, the game has only been released for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch so far.

With PC support, it’ll be interesting to see if the game’s VR Mode has been tweaked to work with VR units like the HTC Vive and Oculus brand VR headsets. Originally developed for PlayStation VR, VR Mode includes short chapter “experiences” that unlock as you go through the story. The feature received mixed reviews in Japan.

Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC worldwide on April 7, 2020. It is immediately available on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in Japan. You can check out our playtest on the game’s post-story DLC set here.
