Players will be able to befriend Daisy and complete her questline to unlock the Boutique building, allowing them to showcase designs made using the Touch of Magic system. Visiting friends can copy your designs for their own use, while new Touch of Magic items will be available to earn through completing challenges in the Boutique itself. Other additions include the ability to take selfies and complete tasks together with friends in multiplayer, as well as new items for the Star Path battle pass and Premium shop. There will also be new quests for owners of the latest expansion pass, where players can meet Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.

Back in November, 2023, Gameloft announced that a new version of the game would be coming to Apple devices through the Apple Arcade. Earlier that year, the company also announced the game would be leaving Early Access and would not be Free-to-Play, along with plans for a new expansion pack.

The Thrills and Frills free update featuring Daisy Duck is set to arrive in Disney Dreamlight Valley on May 1, 2024. The game itself is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Apple devices.
