Square Enix shared the April 28, 2026 update for Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy and, in addition to the expected implementation of Rikku from FFX and Clive from FFXVI, it also includes a rollout to more countries and Golden Week events. Three events offering bonuses appeared tied to the Japanese holidays. Also, people in Finland, Greece, Ireland, Mexico, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, and UAE can now download and play the spin-off game. However, there’s no teaser as to who will join the roster after Clive, Firion, Onion Knight, and Rikku yet.
In terms of Golden Week, all of the Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy events are starting after maintenance. One is a login bonus event that involves getting things like Growth Eggs for leveling Abilities, MogPay Points to use on the gacha, and Draw Tickets for the Ability banners. The official image for that doesn’t show any Character Tickets for the character gacha being part of that event. That is live until May 13, 2026. The other two events run April 28, 2026 through May 7, 2026. One is a series of Golden Week Special Missions that involves bonuses for completing specific tasks in battles. The other is a Get Up to 99 Free Draws promotion tied to a Free 11 Ability Draw that lets you pull once per day for the event period.
There are also two a new trailers to see. The first one Square Enix shared went over what to expect from Clive, who shows up as a Melee DPS, in the title. That also featured his two UR abilities Flames of Punishment and Rising Flames and his Burning Blade R attack and Will-o’-the-Wykes SR.
The most recent video featured members of the FFXVI development team, in honor of Clive being added to Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy. Director Hiroshi Takai andCreative Director and Lead Script Writer Kazutoyo Maehiro appeared to talk about the character and spin-off game.
