Square Enix knows how to profit from character goods. That’s why they took hero designs from Dissidia: Final Fantasy and made them into trading arts figures. Unlike Square Enix’s other trading arts toys these aren’t minuscule statues. Each pre-painted figure is around 5″ tall and goes for about $13 depending where you import them.

The downside about trading arts is you don’t know which character you’re going to get until you open the box. You might get Cloud Strife on the first try. You might not. Square Enix USA sells trading arts figures out without the randomness, but often cut one figure out of the line up. Hmm… out of these five Zidane might be the Japan-only figure.
