Happinet and Asakusa Studios have another game to announce. Following the launch of Hyakki Castle, their turn-based dungeon crawler, the publisher and developer are preparing a sports game set in the Edo period. In Dodgeball Rising, players will control a team of kabuki entertainers, ninjas, samurai, sumo wrestlers, and sushi chefs as they engage in dodgeball battles.

Dodgeball Rising is an arcade style game. Once people pick their warriors, each with different styles and skills, you enter the Ultimate Imperial Dodgeball Tournament. This is the campaign mode where each character has its own storyline. It is also possible to play offline or online with up to six people, with AI filling in the empty spots.

Dodgeball Rising will appear on Steam’s Early Access program for PCs on December 14, 2017.
