Another Final Fantasy XII character has joined the cast of Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia. Basch fon Ronsenburg has appeared as a part of the A Captain’s Loyalty event. People have until January 9, 2020 to make him a part of their team.

Basch joined the Japanese version of Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia back in March 2019 and is now showing up to the party worldwide. He is a tank-type character who unleashes melee attacks. His abilities are Fulminating Darkness, a 2-hit BRV attack and group HP attack that inflicts the Lock status and temporarily gives him HP Damage Resist and Kingdom’s Shield, and Ruin Impendent, a two-hit BRV and HP attack that recovers some of his own health and temporarily gives him Knight’s Aptitude. (Crystal Passives can improve both, with Fulminating Darkness’ extension making it a five-hit group BRV and HP attack and Ruin Impendent’s bringing it up to four hits.)

It is possible to get some of Basch’s five-star gear for free from completing A Captain’s Loyalty quests. Getting through parts three and four will give you two Golden Shields, while beating part five will give you his Mythril Blade.

In addition, as part of the holiday celebrations going on in Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia, it is possible to get a free 10+1 pull on the banner added alongside Basch. The featured weapons there are Basch’s Lohengrin, which has the Flame Purge unique EX Ability, Vaan’s Demonsbane with the Pyroclasm EX Ability, and Serah’s Amazon Bow.

Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia is available for Android and Apple iOS devices. Another recent character addition is Ultimecia, who joined the global version’s roster in November 2019.
