When it comes to bringing Final Fantasy VIII back, Square Enix is putting together a full remaster. Details were slim when it first came up during the company’s E3 2019 media briefing. However, Dotemu has provided additional insight. It is working with Square Enix to make this remaster.   In addition to revealing its involvement, Dotemu provided some insight into the development process. Namely, it made a comment about the Final Fantasy VIII Remastered soundtrack. When a fan asked whether it would use the music from the PlayStation or PC release, the Dotemu Twitter account replied, “It’ll be original PSX music.”   Dotemu has brought many classic games to current platforms. For example, some of its recent work includes Ys Origin, WindJammers, and Another World. It also has been involved with sequels or more modern versions of older games, like WindJammers 2, Street Fighter 4, and Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap.   Final Fantasy VIII Remastered will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2019.
