Nintendo announced Switch 2 owners will get a chance to try Drag x Drive, the 3v3 wheelchair basketball game, ahead of launch with a Global Jam demo. This will be an online event held during three sessions between August 9-10, 2025. Only people who subscribe to one of the two Nintendo Switch Online membership tiers can take part.

There will be three times to take part if you are part of NSO or the Expansion Pass tier. All someone would need to do is download the Drag x Drive Global Jam demo client from the eShop. Here’s the full list.

  • August 9, 2025: 3am PT/6am ET-7am PT/10am ET
  • August 9, 2025: 5pm PT/8pm ET-9pm ET/12am ET
  • August 10, 2025: 9am PT/12pm ET-1pm PT/4pm ET

It isn’t uncommon for Nintendo to hold a limited, online demo event for a title that is a multiplayer-focused one. This happened with Splatoon. Both the first and second games ended up being introduced with Global Testfire events that let people test out Turf War. Since the whole point of Drag x Drive is to go through 3v3 wheelchair basketball games, you would need that multiplayer experience to get the most out of the trial.

Drag x Drive will come to the Switch 2 on August 14, 2025, and the Global Jam demo will let Nintendo Switch Online subscribers test it out between August 9-10, 2025.
