Bandai Namco is releasing several free updates for Dragon Ball Fusions, and the game just got its first one in Japan, which adds online play and the “Space-Time Radar” feature to the 3DS title. Famitsu shares the latest details and screenshots.
With the first part of the free update series, the game adds the new “Space-Time Radar” feature, which is done by connecting via WiFi in various StreetPass hotspots across Japan in order to bring out a Space-Time Radar exclusive stage. In this stage, you’ll get to fight against characters for a chance to acquire rare teammates.
Depending on the hotspots, you’ll get different things. Characters vary depending on the hotspots, and there are even some that increases the chances of getting characters you’ve yet to befriend.
The next feature is the “Online Versus & Ranking Function,” which basically lets you put a team together to go up against friends and other players online and aim to climb the ladders of the national ranking.
Dragon Ball Fusions is available in Japan for Nintendo 3DS. The game releases in North America on December 13, 2016 and in Europe in February 2017.
