One of Bandai Namco’s 2026 New York Comic Con reveals ended up being a Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero 2026-2027 roadmap for free updates and paid DLC. Among those will be a new mode showing up for the fighting game before this year ends. However, we won’t see the Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero cross-play beta test until it looks like the second half of 2027.

The 2026-2027 free update and paid DLC roadmap for Dragon Ball is divided up into PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC and Switch and Switch 2 sections, due to it appearing on Nintendo consoles later on. The former group will get the Gogeta (Super) Legendary Warrior Face-off in Fall 2026, while Nintendo systems get the Frieza (Super) one during that period. The Tower of Power solo mode also will be a free update for other consoles and PCs in Winter 2026, while the Switch and Switch 2 won’t get that until after Summer 2027.

As for the 2027 reveals, a lot is on the way. In Spring 2027, the free update for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC will be Mission 100 SP, Survival Mode SP, and the Tower of Power team-up option. During that same period, Switch and Switch 2 owners will finally get the Mission 100 and Survival Mode updates and the option to buy the Super Limit-Breaking Neo DLC. The “After Summer 2027” update for all non-Nintendo platforms will involve the Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero cross-play beta test and an unknown paid DLC character. During that same period, people with Nintendo versions of the game will get Mission 100 SP, Survival Mode SP, and the solo and team-up versions of Tower of Power.
