Since the announcement of Dragon Quest Heroes II, fans have been wondering whether the protagonists from the first Dragon Quest Heroes game will be in the sequel. The voice actor of Act confirms that he won’t be. [Thanks, Hachima.]

Tori Matsuzaka, the voice behind the male protagonist Act [Luceus in English]  of Dragon Quest Heroes tweeted his thoughts about how much he wants to play the upcoming game. “although Act won’t be in it, I still want to play,” said Matsuzaka.

While it hasn’t been confirmed whether the female protagonist Mar [Aurora] will be in it, we’ll likely find out in the near future. That said, we might see a new set of protagonists for Dragon Quest Heroes II, unless they decide to go stick with other characters from the series instead.

Dragon Quest Heroes II will release in Japan for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita in Spring 2016.
