Dragon Quest Heroes: Torneko’s Mystery Dungeon Classic HD Debuts

Square Enix announced we’ll finally get the roguelike Torneko’s Great Adventure worldwide as an update of the Chunsoft game is now everywhere as Dragon Quest Heroes: Torneko’s Mystery Dungeon Classic HD. The game will show up on the Switch, Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC today. It was one of the September 2026 Nintendo Direct sizzle reel reveals.

This is a spin-off of Dragon Quest IV and stars Torneko. He’s still a merchant following the events of the game. However, with that new combat experience in mind, he heads out with his family to explore a rumored mystery dungeon with a legendary treasure inside. His hopes are that by exploring and facing the monsters within, he’ll eventually delve deeper and find things he could sell in his shop and get that rare item. The events of this then led into the PS1 game Torneko: The Last Hope, which did appear worldwide on the PS1 and on the GBA in Japan.

Here’s the launch trailer for the game. Since this is just a Classic HD remaster, it doesn’t feature any new content. Rather, it’s a
