After shuffling the Dragon Quest series to PlayStation consoles for VII and VIII the core installments are returning to Nintendo. Dragon Quest IX comes out on March 28 for the Nintendo DS and in the (probably distant) future Dragon Quest X will appear on the Wii.

Since every main installment of Dragon Quest has sold well over a million copies in Japan alone this news should spark the interest of RPG developers looking for a platform to work on.
