Dragon Quest X Heads To The Cloud On December 16

While classic Dragon Quest games get smartphone ports, NTT DoCoMo is bringing Dragon Quest X to the cloud. Beginning on December 16, players will be able to login to their Dragon Quest X account using the DoCoMo dtab tablet. Dragon Quest X dGame Version will also find its way to other DoCoMo smartphones and devices in 2014.

There are a few catches about Dragon Quest X dGame Version. You must be connected to Wi-Fi to play it and you have to pay an additional fee on top of your Dragon Quest X subscription. Dragon Quest X dGame costs 350 yen ($3.40) for three days of access or 650 yen ($6.30) for ten days. A monthly subscription to Dragon Quest X costs 1,000 yen ($9.60) or a slightly discounted 2,900 yen for 90 days ($28).
