As with other Square Enix demos, like the one for Harvestella, people’s save data from the Dragon Quest X Offline trial can be carried over to the full game. It starts at the very beginning, with the player living a peaceful life with their sibling. After Nelgel attacks, the two of you are separated. The player then gets the opportunity to be a hero after their soul is placed into an entirely new body.

There’s no worldwide release announcement for Dragon Quest X Offline yet or English version confirmed. It is based on the Japan-exclusive MMORPG that debuted on the Wii in 2012, before eventually also heading to other platforms like the 3DS, Switch, Wii U, PS4, PC, and mobile devices. This take on the adventure involves chibi forms of characters, as well as a new episode and new characters like Garmy and Fifi.

Here’s a trailer showing how it looks:

Update: The official Twitter account officially confirmed the demo is available.

Dragon Quest X Offline is available on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC in Japan.
