The upcoming smartphone game Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation had a 2017 window, but it has been delayed. Thankfully fans won’t have to wait too long, as it’ll launch sometime in the middle of January.

The above is a video letter from producer Riichiro Yamada of Sega. This is the start of a new video letter series where the developers will share the latest on the game, but for this video in particular it is an episode 0 to explain that the game was initially planned for a 2017 release, but it has been delayed to mid-January to further increase its quality with some last-minute adjustments and bug fixes.

Yamada apologized for any inconveniences, but he also said that in order to make up for it they’ll be giving out even better rewards for the early-registration bonus. More details on that will be announced on a later date.

Dx2 Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation is slated for launch in mid-January 2018 in Japan for iOS and Android. Sega plans to release the game worldwide, starting with an Asia release in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.
