Tecmo Koei is taking advantage of Sony’s PS3 remaster program with a PSP port, according to this week’s issue of Famitsu. The magazine says Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce 2 will be released for PlayStation 3 as Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce 2 HD. Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD was the first PSP remaster title, which has upgraded graphics and PSP save data compatibility.

We’re not *too* surprised since Koei ported Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce, which was originally a PSP game, to PS3 and Xbox 360 on their own. Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce 2, a mix of Monster Hunter and Musou style hack ‘n slash, was originally planned for an overseas release. Koei canceled the title, but perhaps will consider localizing the PlayStation 3 version.

Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce 2 HD supports ad-hoc party and is slated for release 2012.
