Idea Factory’s Hakuoki series is going in a new direction. As seen in Dengeki PlayStation, Hakuoki: Unmatched in the End of Edo Record is a Dynasty Warriors style game with Hakuoki characters.
The game is set during Boshin War and players will slash through troops in musou record mode. Hakuoki: Unmatched in the End of Edo Record features original characters and a made for the game scenario in this mode. You will be able to play as characters from the anime series, except for Chizuru. This Hakuoki game is being designed with beginners in mind, so it will have flashy action scenes with simple controls.
While this is a "Musou" game, Tecmo Koei are not tied to it. Class of Heroes developer Zerodiv is making the title. Hakuoki: Unmatched in the End of Edo Record is slated for release on PSP in February 2012.
