Arc System Works just announced that they’ll be holding their third location test for Guilty Gear Xrd –SIGN- soon, where we’ll be seeing the return of Eddie, as well as a new mystery character. The location test will last from December 6th until the 9th, for a total of four days of rock and roll fighting.
Guilty Gear Xrd –SIGN-’s official website gives us a peek at Eddie, who once led an organization of assassins. Up until now, he’s been known as Eddie, but due to unknown reasons, his name has been changed to “ZATO=ONE”. Just to clarify, Eddie is actually the name of the shadow, and Zato is the deceased corpse that is being controlled by the shadow.
He seems to have a bunch of new special attacks, with one called “Invite Hell,” which can be followed up with a “Shadow Charge Set,” when Invite Hell is active. He also seems to have another interesting ability called “Summon Eddie,” along with an option to return him.
The above is a look at the new mystery character who has yet to be shown. More details on the mystery character will be revealed upon the start of the third location test of Guilty Gear Xrd –SIGN-.
Guilty Gear Xrd –SIGN- is currently in development and will be released in spring 2014.
