Eiyuden Chronicle Developers Discussed Sequel Possibilities in AMA

An Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes AMA with members of Rabbit and Bear Studios appeared on the Nintendo Switch subreddit, and the team discussed the possibility of a sequel to both the original game and perhaps an Eiyuden Chronicle Rising 2. The Art Director and Producer Junichi Murakami, Director and System Designer Osamu Komuta, and the Character Designer and Studio Head Junko Kawano all collaborated and offered responses to people’s questions.

For many of the responses to the AMA, the exact person responding wasn’t mentioned. In response to one question about an Eiyuden Chronicle sequel, the team said, “We would like to expand on the story we have created this time in the Allraan continent. We cannot yet tell you how we will do this, but please stay tuned.”

That sentiment came up again later in the forum. An undisclosed member of the team noted, “Of course we have; R&B is sharing the vision for what comes after this each other. We hope you will wait and see how we can expand on this.”

As for the possibility of an Eiyuden Chronicle Rising 2, it seemed a sequel is something the team would only get into if there was demand. That is the prequel to the main game, which stars a few of its supporting cast members. When that question came up, the response from the members responding was, “I also see potential in Rising and would like to consider it if there are many requests for it.”

Eiyuden Chronicle Rising is available now on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will come to the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Epic Games Store, GOG, and Steam on April 23, 2024.
