UTV Ignition is re-releasing El Shaddai in Japan. The reprint, titled El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron Encore Edition, is slated for release on May 17.

The news comes from stores stocking the title, which will retail for 2,940 yen ($37). Aside from having Lucifel on the cover, it doesn’t sound like Encore Edition will have any differences or extras not found in the 2011 release.
El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron Encore Edition might be UTV Ignition’s last retail game too since they sold Dragon’s Crown to Atlus and canceled plans to publish Fractured Soul.
