Electronic Arts brings the Sims to Wii

This article is over 17 years old and may contain outdated information

Bringing a multi million dollar franchise on the Wii is an easy to move to make, but Electronic Arts is taking the Sims Wii in an entirely new direction. The art design has changed from human characters to cutesy Mii-like characters. Speaking of Miis, the Sims Wii can use your stored Mii characters in the game. Another change to the franchise is that EA plans to make the Wii version of the Sims easy for anyone to play. One of the ways they are doing this is by simplifying the control scheme with the help of the Wii remote. When designing a character you can point to menus with the remote. Designing a house is easy too, you just drag and drop pieces together. Currently the Sims Wii is being developed in Japan, but a North American release seems inevitable if it is a hit there.
