Element Hunters’ Chemical Battle System Explained

image Namco Bandai licensed Element Hunters, an anime series where kids venture to far lands in search of chemical elements. Their upcoming DS game is an action RPG where players extract elements before engaging monsters.

Impress Watch explains the system starting with chemical combine, a move that allows hunters to draw nitrogen and other chemical elements from foes. Elements are imbued in weapons, which certain monsters may be weak against.

Massive QEX monsters wait at the end of each mission. These are supposed battles are supposed to be action packed with hunters leaping in to the sky and diving underneath the QEX creature to defeat it.

Element Hunters is on track for October 22 in Japan. No plans have been announced for North America at this time, but this doesn’t look like the kind of game Namco Bandai would usually pick up.
