Ever since Square Enix purchased Taito old franchises like the Legend of Kage have come back from the dead. Elevator Action is getting a revival too as Elevator Action Death Parade, a light gun arcade game with the neato gimmick of sliding elevator doors. The red button in the middle opens the doors and reveals an LCD screen with enemies to shoot. Two players can link up for co-op play, but that won’t be happening for awhile.

Elevator Action Death Parade won’t come out in Japan until summer 2009. No international release has been announced either, but we can dream one of these creative cabinets will be imported somewhere else.
