Third person multiplayer shooter Battle Splash looks to capture the fun of shooting friends, but with water guns instead of bullets.
The game’s water fights will take place across several varied locations, with players able to choose from four different game modes, three of which are competitive and one based around objectives. These modes can all be played online or offline with AI bots. The game will offer support for up to 32 player matches in a player-made server, and will also offer local network support for LAN parties.
The developer states that there will be four different classes for players to choose from, each with their own stats, traits, and items with which to soak their opponents. Each player can equip up to four weapons at once.
The developer hopes to add a co-op campaign mode with open world elements to explain the backstory of the water fights. Battle Splash will also feature modding support to allow players around the world to add to the water fight.
Battle Splash is set to head to Steam Greenlight and Early Access at some point in the future.
