This week’s sales data in Japan shows that Nintendo’s English training software for the Nintendo DS, Eigo ga Nigate na Otona no DS Training: Eigo Zuke broke the million mark. With 1,092,496 copies sold, English Training DS is one of the most successful pieces of software in the DS line up. The software says phrases or words in English and the players need to write what is said with the touch screen. It is a simple drill system, but many people are happy with it. Maybe in the future Nintendo of America will consider releasing language training software for European languages or Japanese DS training. See some videos of people using English Training DS here.
