Paon isn’t just working on reviving Hercules no Eikou. They plan to instruct Nintendo DS owners on English later this month. Yes, Paon is jumping on the English Training bandwagon, but their series of New Horizon English Training Course DS software has more than native speakers.

There are English training mini-games where up to four people can test their language skills  wirelessly. Marathon has players race to write sentences on the touch screen. The faster you scribble letters, the faster you run. Weightlifting has players identify if an English/Japanese translation is correct. It’s hard to tell what happens in the two player Judo brawls. But how many English training games correlate martial arts with literacy prowess? I can’t think of any right now.

Anyways, a suite of three New Horizon English Training Course DS titles is Paon’s other project, other self published project.
