Echochrome is the most mind boggling release this year with many different versions bearing the same name. Adding to the confusion is a European version of Echochrome for the PSP, which will not be a PlayStation Store download like in North America. Echochrome will be heading to retail stores with pop box art sometime in June.

The Japanese/Asian version only had 96 stages of varying difficulty. The European version of Echochrome will have 228 levels of perspective bending mazes. Compared to every other release Europe’s PSP version appears to have the most stages so far. The European PlayStation 3 release only has “dozens of baffling puzzles." While it is unconfirmed if the US PSP release will include extra modes like solo, pair or others, the on disc European version will.

There is one more odd note about the European release of Echochrome, the save file. The product page mentions 310 MB for the minimum save size. My save file from the Asian version of Echochrome is around 1.4 MB. Another mystery?
