Applications for the Japanese test have also opened on Mogura VR for a whole week until December 9, 2025. People who pass the screening will be able to attend the event at an unspecified location in Tokyo between December 19 and 21, 2025.

A test session will run for 2 hours in total. It will start with control instructions in the first 30 minutes, followed by the actual game demo experience in the next 30 minutes. The last hour will have a group interview where the staff members gather feedback from the testers.

As for the US test, Pixelity only noted that it will take place on a single day on December 19, 2025. While the Japanese press release does not mention the game’s English X account, we have spotted it with the account name @EVANGELIONXR_GL, with the latter term usually meaning “Global.”

The full release of Evangelion: Δ Cross Reflections will cover the first 11 episodes of the 1995 Neon Genesis Evangelion anime. It will also be the first of three episodic XR games that will collectively cover the entire show.

The Focus Group Test for Evangelion: Δ Cross Reflections will take place in Japan on December 19-21, 2025, and in the US on December 19, 2025. Pixelity will release a more elaborate demo version of the XR game within the first half of 2026.
