Evangelion NERV Business Coupe Car With Asuka Model Returns

AmiAmi started taking orders for Hasegawa’s Rebuild of Evangelion NERV business coup model kit that includes the car and a Asuka Shikinami Langley figure will return. It will show up again in late July 2024, with the official price being 4,400 yen (~$29). AmiAmi is selling it for 3080 yen (~$20).

This is a 1/24th scale model kit set. It is almost 14 inches by 8 inches by 2.7 inches. The example images of both the car and Asuka figure are fully painted. However, the pieces appear unpainted on runners. (Someone will get decals for her eyes.) The kit first appeared back in 2020, ahead of its 2024 return.

Here’s a closer look at painted, completed versions of the car and Asuka.

For those wondering where and when the car appeared in the Rebuild of Evangelion films, the Mazda Cosmo like NERV business coupe appeared in Evangelion 1.0 and 2.0. The reason Asuka is included with the model kit is because she is often a passenger. (Misato is often driving the vehicle.)

More models based on the series are going to come out over the next year or so. The Evangelion Final Model Mortal Mind is on the way. Good Smile Company also announced an AAA Wunder PLAMAX model kit.

The Rebuild of Evangelion films are streaming on Amazon, and the NERV business coup model kit that includes the car and Asuka Shikinami Langley is expected to return in July 2024. The anime is on Netflix.
