A strange tower has burst from the earth of a post-apocalyptic world, rising up before a trio of wanderers exploring a desert. As they’re seeking a way to save their village, they have no choice but to enter, hoping to find the means to save their people in exploration-based platformer Astalon: Tears Of The Earth.
Astalon: Tears Of The Earth is the next title from the developer of Castle in the Darkness, and will have players combing through a demonic tower using the powers of three different heroes. Arias the warrior will provide hard melee hits, Algus the wizard can blast foes at range, and Kyuli the rogue is handy when there are traps and mechanisms about.
The trio will work their way through the tower’s labyrinthine depths, finding keys and tools that will help them move on while also dealing with monsters and colossal bosses as they try to find the means to help their people (and figure out why the tower exists).
Astalon: Tears Of The Earth is currently in development with few details having been released, but its trailer teases a 2018 release.
